| Nadim joined USVP as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence to leverage his operating experience in technology companies into emerging cross-disciplinary applications namely clean and efficient energy, information technology and medical devices. Nadim's technology experience spans over 20 years in semiconductors, MEMS, materials, optics and lasers as applied into diverse markets from healthcare to energy and telecom.
Most recently, he was EVP and Chief Commercial Officer at LumaSense Technologies where he successfully built the company as a roll-up of several sensor acquisitions into a leading global test & measurement business. Nadim's experience in integrating and growing technology acquisitions gave him a deep perspective on the fundamentals of building sound businesses. Prior to LumaSense, he held several executive positions at New Focus (acquired by Bookham) where he was involved in growing the company into a leading telecom player, then resizing it and focusing it onto new markets following the collapse of the dot com bubble. He also worked at NovaSensor, now part of General Electric.

Nadim has a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University where he has also served as Consulting Professor of Electrical Engineering. He is fluent in English, French and Arabic. His favorite book is "Endurance," an inspiring narration of Sir Ernest Shackleton's voyage to the Antarctic. |
