Mamoon joined USVP in 2005. At USVP, he focuses on cleantech, semiconductor and software investments. He led USVP's investment in Box.net, and serves on the company's Board. He is also involved with USVP portfolio companies: CFX Battery, Superprotonic, Optichron, Supplyframe and Zannel. He is also an advisor to Yelp.

Prior to joining USVP, Mamoon spent eight years at Xilinx in various engineering and marketing roles. Previously, Mamoon has also worked for Deutsche Bank.

Mamoon holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, an MS in Management Science & Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. He is also a graduate of the Kauffman Fellows Program.

A native of Pakistan, Mamoon grew up in Frankfurt, Germany. He is multi-lingual in German, Urdu and Hindi.
