| As Special Projects Manager on the Business Development team at Acumen Fund, Misbah’s primary responsibility is building an engaged community of partners around Acumen Fund’s work and fundraising to support Acumen Fund’s mission.Misbah joined Acumen Fund in Pakistan in 2006, initially focusing on building an investment pipeline and managing portfolio investments. She then led Acumen Fund’s community building initiatives in Pakistan, managing business development and knowledge and communications activities for the Pakistan office, before joining the New York team in 2008. Before joining Acumen Fund, Misbah spent over eight years in a variety of positions at Citigroup Pakistan, most recently as Public Affairs Officer, where her responsibilities included managing external and internal communications, community affairs and public relations activities. Misbah also worked in Citigroup’s Corporate Banking Group, where she managed the bank’s corporate relationships in Pakistan’s chemical and pharma industries. She also has experience working in the bank’s Transaction Management and e-Banking Group. Misbah holds an MBA and a BA (Honors) in Business Administration from the Institute of Business Administration at the University of Karachi, Pakistan. |
