| Alex Mehr is the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Zoosk, the largest social dating site with over 20 million members. Before starting Zoosk, Alex worked as a scientist on several awesome NASA projects for both robotic and manned space missions. Alex received his Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland, and his B.Sc. from Sharif University of Technology. Alex also attended the MBA program at the University of California, Berkeley, but decided to take a leave of absence to start Zoosk. Alex is the author of more than 25 peer-reviewed published articles on a variety of subjects such as: Theory of Complex Systems, Risk Management, Design Optimization, Aerospace Systems, Genetic Algorithms, Decision Theory, and Numerical Modeling. His Ph.D. dissertation focused on the Optimal Design of Complex Engineering Systems. |
