While some of technical and business challenges in cloud computing have been addressed, many more remain unresolved. The cloud promises large companies to cut down their IT costs and promises small companies to build and deploy their services in a short amount of time, using fewer dollars. Additionally applications deployed on the cloud promise to perform better, provide higher scalability and improved reliability.
