Cloud computing and Opportunities for EntrepreneursThe cloud is an interesting set of emerging technologies and presents a new way for developing, deploying and using applications on the internet. Traditionally building new applications have required extensive capital for hardware, software, development tools and services. Examples of cloud computing include Platform services like salesforce and zembly from sun; social networking application platforms like Facebook, Orkut, Ning and Google etc; Hardware and infrastructure cloud services include Amazon’s EC2 and Azure from MS. While some of technical and business challenges in cloud computing have been addressed, many more remain unresolved.
